We Are Still Here

I am sorry for the absence of posts lately, but there is just not much to report about the adoption at this time.  We are supposed to receive a receipt from Homeland Security within two to three weeks of sending the documents.  We have passed the two week mark and are patiently waiting as we approach the three week mark.  Waiting...Waiting...Waiting.  We are really trying to use this "Waiting" time to grow closer to one another and to grow closer to our Lord and Savior, rather than spending this time in a state of worry, anxiety, and impatience.  This is a work in progress, especially as my mind thinks about our little girl more and more every day.  Oh, how we want to see her picture, meet her, embrace her, and have her as a part of our family forever.  However, we do know that God's timing is perfect!  We will keep you updated on the progress as we receive updates on our paperwork.

On another note, Nathan and I have finished our second project for our little girl's room!  We have had so much fun being artists...well, inexperienced artists who love to try! 




Beginning Stages










 We have also begun looking for baby furniture and bedding!  This has been so much fun!  We have heard from those more experienced than us, that we need to begin this sooner than later, as many stores estimate a three month wait when ordering items.  The excitement of stepping into a baby store has definitely been a new and different feeling for us, as these stores were the last place we wanted to be during our infertility journey.  Thank you Lord for that journey in our lives, as we know it was all a part of your plan to mold and prepare our hearts for the little girl you have waiting for us in China.  We would not trade the journey for anything!
