We had a great day today! We woke up rather early, as our bodies are having a bit of difficulty adjusting to the new time. We ate a delicious breakfast at the buffet downstairs, and boy was it an incredibly large buffet! I have never seen anything like it! After gorging ourselves at the buffet, we adventured out on our own around town. We stumbled upon a huge six story mall on a pedestrian only street. The architecture in this city is absolutely beautiful! After our self-guided adventure around town, we headed in for a LONG nap! We woke up to thunderstorms and lightening and therefore decided to eat dinner at the hotel. We really ventured out on our dinner choices...pizza, ham and cheese sandwich on ciabatta, and chicken with mango sauce.
We will have a private tour of the Great Wall, a rickshaw tour of the old streets of Beijing, and an authentic lunch tomorrow (hold on stomach!). We will have the same sweet guide that picked us up from the airport last night.
It feels so wonderful to be so close to Karlye! Four days until we get to kiss and hug all over our sweet girl! We are soaking up as much of this culture as we possibly can, in hopes to one day share as much detail with our daughter as we can.
For those of you who know about Nathan's "Dressy Birkenstocks", we actually could have brought them back! Haha!

Isabelle could not go to sleep she was so giddy and still trying to figure out how we were talking to you all in China :) The itinerary for tomorrow sounds amazing!
