We have had a blast with our precious daughter this fall! It is so hard to believe that this time last year she was thigh high in casts and we were knee deep in attachment challenges. My how far we all have come in a year. Time is passing by too quickly!
Karlye continues to LOVE school! She wakes up many mornings and asks if that particular day is a school day. I think she would go to school every day of the week if she could. She is learning so much each week...Bible verses, Bible stories, songs, letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and how to share. We have come a long way in the sharing department!
More good news to celebrate on the braces/shoes front! She is now able to take a nap WITHOUT SHOES if she gets 12 hours in at night! Now, this does not happen too often, as we have one early riser. I have never seen a little girl so excited to go to bed for a nap with bare feet! She continuously moves her feet back and forth on the sheets/blanket...I am assuming that it is a wonderful feeling!
Karlye did great during her first haircut! We have not cut her hair since she has been home with us from China. Well, except for the little rat tail that she had when we first got home. She was a bit nervous at first, but after watching mama go first and a little coaxing from a sucker, she was much better! She asked for a second haircut after we walked out the door to go home. Thank you Brenda for making it such a wonderful experience for her!
We are still waiting to see the sweet, precious face of our second daughter. This wait is so difficult, but so worth it! We are still hoping that we hear word anytime now, but trusting in God's timing.
